It could very well be the last match of one of the most universally beloved champions: Juan Martin del Potro. The Tower of Tandil recently announced that he’s returning this tournament but that the pain is too much and this will most likely be his farewell. There are some other interesting matches this Tuesday, but this one will clearly dominate the headlines.

ATP Buenos Aires Day 2 Predictions

Roberto Carballes Baena vs Nicolas Jarry

Head-to-head: Carballes Baena 3-3 Jarry

The two players have split their six previous meetings, which shows just how tight this matchup is. It’s been two and a half years and sadly his return match might well be the last match of his career. Delbonis hasn’t won a single ATP main draw match since July of last year, but he’ll still likely have too much for a broken down del Potro. Like he did all his career though, del Potro will surely put up a heroic effort and feed off the crowd’s energy to make it a memorable match.
