On the other hand, Lajovic will be looking to find some confidence with this match-up as the Serb has not played well the past few months. The 28-year-old reached the third round of the US Open before losing to <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2021\/09\/05\/jenson-brooksby-breakthrough-season-us-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Jensen Brooksby<\/a> in a five-setter and reached the quarterfinals of San Diego losing to Grigor Dimitrov in a three-setter. It will be a tough ask for Salvatore Caruso to get much out of the match. The Russian is playing with so much confidence at the moment. The American will be looking to get some confidence back in his game. The 30-year-old was dumped out early in two Challenger events last month unexpectedly. Even though Sandgren beat the Brit last year in straight sets, this will be a different match-up with Norrie playing with so much confidence.
