One features <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2021\/08\/22\/atp-winston-salem-day-2-predictions-musetti-coria\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Lorenzo Musetti vs Federico Coria<\/a> and the second features <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2021\/08\/22\/atp-winston-salem-open-day-2-predictions-johnson-popyrin\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Steve Johnson vs Alexei Popyrin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>ATP Winston-Salem Open Day 2 Predictions<\/h2>\n<h4>Tung-Lin Wu vs Gianluca Mager<\/h4>\n<p>Mager has played just one hard court match since the Australian Open back in February. That shouldn&#8217;t be a problem, though. Wu has never been ranked in the Top 200, and this is his first Tour-level match. Wu hasn&#8217;t been particularly impressive on the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/category\/atp-challenger-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">ATP Challenger Tour<\/a> level either this year. It&#8217;s really hard to see this as being competitive.<br \/>\n<em>Prediction: Mager in 2<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a id=\"hoamMcwvT_tuAiHQLj5w3A\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/1234292448\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'hoamMcwvT_tuAiHQLj5w3A',sig:'cXnYnoWvqwJEiKwEHNYJoFYHdPfvXjEJXYw-JkJ0LAk=',w:'594px',h:'396px',items:'1234292448',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});<\/script><script src='\/\/embed-cdn.gettyimages.com\/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async><\/script><\/p>\n<h4>Marco Cecchinato vs Dominik Koepfer<\/h4>\n<p>Cecchinato looked great a few years ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2018\/06\/05\/marco-cecchinato-knocks-novak-djokovic-french-open-becomes-first-italian-to-reach-major-semifinal-in-40-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">upsetting Novak Djokovic at the French Open<\/a>. The Italian has impressed on clay several times since then, though nothing to that level. Koepfer, meanwhile, played an amazing career of <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2019\/08\/31\/dominik-koepfers-unreal-journey-from-germany-to-the-us-open-via-tulane\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">college tennis at Tulane<\/a>. He loves the hard courts, and he has success on the US Open circuit in the past. If this was on clay, I might take Cecchinato. But on this surface, go with the college player.<br \/>\n<em>Prediction: Koepfer in 2<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a id=\"z-9YRSnBTEp24VsaJat4Eg\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/1330701911\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'z-9YRSnBTEp24VsaJat4Eg',sig:'amd_r3E2bvNqsFJFduGfFvjPHpVE1LCXR-vNbsZ3YDg=',w:'423px',h:'594px',items:'1330701911',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});<\/script><script src='\/\/embed-cdn.gettyimages.com\/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async><\/script><\/p>\n<h4>Egor Gerasimov vs Richard Gasquet<\/h4>\n<p>Gasquet has shown glimpses of his former self this year, but the Frenchman is clearly <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2021\/03\/23\/2021-is-the-end-for-monfils-gasquet-and-the-old-french-guard\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">well past his prime<\/a>. He can&#8217;t keep up his level for consistent matches, and his health is always a concern. Gerasimov, meanwhile, has solid results this year, but has been better on other surfaces than hard courts.
