After a great clay court season, and a couple of weeks on grass, we are about to head to the mecca of tennis, Wimbledon. Who will reach the finals of the men\u2019s and women\u2019s events? We give our thoughs on how the draw will play out.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s final projection \u2013 Serena Williams vs Petra Kvitova<\/h3>\n

To be honest, I am not super confident with this prediction. Women\u2019s tennis is so open right now. There are lots of players that are capable of winning big events.<\/p>\n

Serena Williams, given her limited preparation, put in a good performance at the French Open, only losing to a red-hot Elena Rybakina<\/a> in a close one. To me, this should set her campaign up for Wimbledon nicely, which has always been her focus.<\/p>\n

Petra Kvitov\u00e0 has shown good form in a lead-up event on the grass, only losing to Angelique Kerber in a close, three-set encounter. The two-time Wimbledon champion is always dangerous at this event, and her draw looks good.<\/p>\n

Dark horse<\/h4>\n

Johanna Konta is a top 15 player who has been ranked in the top ten before and has been to the semifinals of Grand Slams. She recently won a grass-court event in Nottingham which means that she is in good form. If she can get her through her first round against a talented Katerina Siniakov\u00e0, she will do some damage.<\/p>\n

And the winner is\u2026<\/h4>\n

Serena Williams. This is her best opportunity to add to her Grand Slam tally and equal Margaret Court’s record. This is her tournament to lose.<\/p>\n
