I now felt the need of writing another one because in last few days I noticed many suspicious matches: <strong>we are passing from a couple of matches per day to almost ten daily during early rounds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>First of all, it has become obvious for players and arrangers that <strong>the risk of being caught is very close to zero<\/strong> if they pay attention not to leave any clue on their phone, laptop, or bank account.<\/p>\n<h2>Match-fixing in Tennis: a Plague That may be Getting Worse<\/h2>\n<p>Especially in <strong>Morocco<\/strong> (where this week they are playing the third Futures tournament in a row), the situation appears very suspicious\u00a0with at least a couple of matches ssupect for fixing\u00a0per day in the early rounds of singles and doubles.<\/p>\n<p>Here below a few examples from Morocco ITFs.<\/p>\n<p>We had different types of possible fixing: heavy favourites that sold sets and heavy underdogs that sold the only thing the could\u2013losing a set by precisely an 0-6 score.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">These ITFs in Morocco are a big mess, a lot of suspicious matches: Bet365 removed set winner odds, Ahouda 1.4 pre <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/qKUUBzWzGF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/qKUUBzWzGF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Stefano Berlincioni (@Carretero77) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Carretero77\/status\/762609186316234753?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">August 8, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Amine Ahouda lost the match 6-0 6-4 (first set, second set, and ml looks to be suspicious)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/2016\/08\/10\/match-fixing-tennis-plague-getting-worse-worse\/\" target=\"_self\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Only a couple of weeks ago I wrote another article about match-fixing in tennis, saying that this issue has not stopped at all.
