The 21 year old Russian has never been in the main draw at Wimbledon, while Wawrinka lack&#8217;s the confidence to succeed on the grass and has actually\u00a0fallen in the first round five times.<\/p>\n<h2>Wimbledon Day 1 Review: Andy Murray and Kei Nishikori on Cruise Control<\/h2>\n<p>Medvedev was dominant on his serve only losing four first serve points in the first set. Wawrinka battled back to win the second set, but injured his left knee in the process. The world number 49 battled through and came out with the biggest win of his career so far.<\/p>\n<p>Reigning champion <strong>Andy Murray<\/strong> come through the first round unscathed, beating lucky loser\u00a0<strong>Alexander Bublik<\/strong> 6-1 6-4 6-2. The Frenchman looked at ease on the grass, while Kyrgios continued to struggle with a bad hip that has blighted his season so far.
