Here are our thoughts on the matches including Petra Kvitova vs Ekaterina Alexandrova.<\/p>\n<h2>WTA St. Petersburg Quarterfinal Predictions<\/h2>\n<h4><strong>Oceane Dodin vs Elena Rykabina<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Dodin was once a <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordontennis.com\/2016\/10\/10\/oceane-dodin-real-deal-linz\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">potential rising star<\/a>, but it&#8217;s been years since then and it hasn&#8217;t yet really panned out for her. She certainly has talent, but she hasn&#8217;t put it all together yet. Rybakina has, and she continues her march to the top of the game. Sakkari doesn&#8217;t have the same over-the-top power that Bencic does, but she can force anyone to play ball after ball, and is an excellent counterpuncher. Kvitova is one of the best players in the world right now and playing like it. However, Alexandrova will have the home crowd behind her and has won 16 out of her last 17 matches, dating back to December. Unfortunately, that one loss was a brutally quick defeat against Kvitova at the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordontennis.com\/australian-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Australian Open<\/a>. Kvitova is more talented and playing well.
