With recent Washington champion Nick Kyrgios and the greats of the grass-court season Sam Querrey and Matteo Berrettini all taking the court, we should expect plenty of emotions in the first round of the main draw. We also have predictions for <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordontennis.com\/2019\/08\/11\/atp-cincinnati-monday-predictions-cilic-albot\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">other Monday matches<\/a>, including <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordontennis.com\/2019\/08\/11\/atp-cincinnati-monday-predictions-murray-gasquet\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andy Murray&#8217;s return to singles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>ATP Cincinnati Monday Predictions<\/h2>\n<h4><strong>Nick Kyrgios vs Lorenzo Sonego<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Head-to-head<\/strong>: First meeting<\/p>\n<p>Nick Kyrgios&#8217;s title run at Washington two weeks ago was brilliant <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordontennis.com\/2019\/08\/04\/time-stopped-talking-about-kyrgios\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">but the Australian ended up burning a few more bridges<\/a>. The Argentinian reached his maiden Grand Slam quarterfinal at <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordontennis.com\/wimbledon\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wimbledon<\/a> and had a great showing last week in Toronto (defeated David Goffin and Radu Albot, lost to eventual champion Rafael Nadal). Ruud isn&#8217;t that well-developed yet and has last played on hard courts back in April. The Norwegian has a forehand that can peak out of nowhere and dominate the match; but in the long run, Pella will be much too solid.<br \/>\n<em>Prediction: Pella in 2<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a id=\"Xm9O1jEKRm9G6C63bJ6P2g\" class=\"gie-single\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/1160440901\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color:#a7a7a7;text-decoration:none;font-weight:normal !important;border:none;display:inline-block;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'Xm9O1jEKRm9G6C63bJ6P2g',sig:'z6QXbwkow7i-vtEhVzzb-ALDmZFuUZASy-AZyFJKFjA=',w:'594px',h:'446px',items:'1160440901',caption: true ,tld:'com',is360: false })});<\/script><script src='\/\/embed-cdn.gettyimages.com\/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async><\/script><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Matteo Berrettini vs Juan Ignacio Londero<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Head-to-head<\/strong>: First meeting<\/p>\n<p>Another <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordontennis.com\/2019\/06\/16\/matteo-berrettini-serves-third-career-atp-title-mercedes-cup\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">breakout star<\/a> of the 2019 ATP Tour, Berrettini last played at Wimbledon where he reached the fourth round (<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordontennis.com\/2019\/07\/09\/loss-remember-italian-matteo-berrettini\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">lost to eventual runner-up Roger Federer<\/a>). <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordontennis.com\/2019\/02\/12\/the-implausible-ascent-of-juan-ignacio-londero\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Londero won his maiden ATP title<\/a> this year at Cordoba and reached the finals at Bastad. It will be interesting to see whether the American can pick up right where he left off.
