The last straight sets win by the German dates back to early May. Precisely a week earlier, Korpatsch had been thrashed by Teichmann 6-2 6-1 in the Prague quarter finals.

The 24-year-old handily won their other two encounters (6-3 6-0, 6-1 6-1), all on terre battue, which took place in 2017 and 2016 respectively. Based on how their previous meetings unfolded, a comeback is unlikely to happen. Will the home crowd push Teichmann to a fast start?
