Fucsovics hasn’t had the best clay court season so far, with just one quarterfinal appearance in Munich. Delbonis looks to be playing well after getting past a tough first-round match against qualifier Grigor Dimitrov in three sets. It’ll be close, but I don’t think the pressure of defending a title will get to Fucsovics.
Prediction: Fucsovics in 3

Embed from Getty Images

Albert Ramos-Vinolas vs Joao Sousa
H2H- Ramos-Vinolas leads 4-2

This match should be a good barometer as to where both these players are leading up to the French Open. Sousa played well in Rome, defeating Frances Tiafoe in three sets before falling to Roger Federer. Ramos-Vinolas also played well, reaching the round of 32 as a qualifier and upsetting Gael Monfils 6-3 6-1 in the first round. This match should be close as well, but I’d give a slight edge to Ramos-Vinolas. He’s done well in the past against Sousa, and I think that continues tomorrow.
Prediction: Ramos-Vinolas in 2

Embed from Getty Images

Christian Garin vs Taro Daniel
H2H- First Meeting

Chilean Christian Garin is one of the most in-form players right now heading into the French Open. Garin is 12-1 in his last 13 matches and won titles in Houston and Munich. He’s going to be considered as a dark horse in Paris, but he might just add another title to his resume this week before the French Open even begins. I can’t see him having much of an issue against Taro Daniel here.
Prediction: Garin in 2

Embed from Getty Images

Stan Wawrinka vs Damir Dzumhur
H2H- 1-1

Stan Wawrinka will be taking the court for the first time this week in Geneva. He’s facing off against Damir Dzumhur, who defeated veteran Feliciano Lopez in a long three-set match. It’s always tough to tell what a player’s motivation will be like at a 250 event the week before a Grand Slam, but I think Wawrinka will want to do well at home.
