After surviving a three-setter against Andrea Pellegrino, the top seed swept through his quarterfinal, dismantling Sebastian Baez 6-1 in a first set that saw him dominate rallies and give his opponent no real hope. That kind of clean, aggressive ball-striking on clay is a different animal. When Rublev is playing that well, he can trouble anyone on the tour.<\/p>\n

Alejandro Tabilo, though, isn’t just making up the numbers. The world #31 has built his season on clay, going 24-10 on the surface this year, and he’s shown he can grind out the tight ones.
