Droguet beat Alexander Blockx. Those are tough opponents. They were handled well. Both players are riding high and now meet for a spot in the semifinals.

Best Bet to Make

Welcome to our best bet section. Though Droguet beat Alexander Blockx, a talented young opponent, the Merida Aguilar win over Etcheverry is a stronger statement. Being able to get a decent price on a moneyline bet is a clean and simple betting angle which inspires more confidence than other more elaborate kinds of bets. You don’t have to get bogged down in a game or set spread. Merida Aguilar moneyline can be the main bet with one or two Droguet parlay pieces as insurance on the other side.

That being said, betting on Merida Aguilar moneyline is the best bet you can make.

Value bet/ the best odds: Merida Aguilar moneyline at 1.68 @pinnacle

Damir Dzumhur – Matteo Arnaldi: 10:00 EST

H2H: 0-1

ATP Umag continues with Damir Dzumhur against Matteo Arnaldi. There’s a clear disparity not only in the ATP world rankings, but in 2026 clay records. Arnaldi is ranked over 70 spots higher (34 to 108). Arnaldi is 14-7 on clay this year, while Dzumhur is 11-14. Arnaldi is also a 2026 Roland-Garros semifinalist, an elite result on clay. You might think Arnaldi would be something like a 1.25 or 1.30 moneyline favorite, but you can actually grab Arnaldi moneyline for 1.52 at one sportsbook. Why is Arnaldi not a bigger favorite? It’s a really interesting question.

Best Bet to Make

Parlay options: Dzumhur +4.5 games at 1.64 @unibet, Arnaldi moneyline at 1.52 at @pinnacle

Confidence level on a scale of 1-10: 4 – bet no more than half a unit on this match.

We thought Arnaldi would win his previous match in straight sets, but he failed. We assigned a high level of confidence to that bet, so we are going to step back and apply a lower level of confidence to this bet. Nevertheless, Arnaldi in straights makes sense based on his 2026 clay record compared to Dzumhur’s record on the same surface. It’s the logical bet, just not one we’re willing to be as confident in recommending.

That being said, betting on Arnaldi winning 2:0 is the best bet you can make.

Value bet/ the best odds: Arnaldi winning 2:0 @2.20 @betway

Roman Andres Burruchaga – Camilo Ugo Carabelli: 12:30 EST

H2H: 3-3

These are two clay specialists. Burruchaga defeated top-seeded Flavio Cobolli earlier in this ATP Umag tournament, while Ugo Carabelli defeated an in-form Pablo Carreno Busta earlier this week. That makes it less than ideal as a betting target. When it’s hard to choose a moneyline winner, you can split the parlay pieces the way we did with Burruchaga being the slight lean on the moneyline and Ugo Carabelli being picked to win one set. Anytime you can’t easily choose the straight-up winner, over 2.5 sets should be your go-to move … but again, this is not an easy match to bet on and therefore not something where you should push all your chips into the middle of the table.

That being said, betting on over 2.5 sets is the best bet you can make.

Value bet/ the best odds: over 2.5 sets @2.27 @betsson

Alex Molcan – Alejandro Davidovich Fokina: 15:00 EST

H2H: 0-0

Alex Molcan is ranked No. 101 in the world, but he has a strong 21-6 clay record in 2026. Molcan is from Slovakia, so he might have a little more crowd support in Croatia for this ATP Umag quarterfinal. If you have to make a bigger bet beyond that (which we don’t recommend), over 2.5 sets makes sense. Davidovich Fokina is not a consistent player. He has ups and downs in most of his matches. Molcan being 21-6 on clay suggests he should be able to play well and at least push this match to a third set if he doesn’t win outright.
