Muchova has been one of those players for whom much has been expected. Currently ranked at No. 9 in the World, despite only having five total tournament victories, Muchova knows she needs to show that she’s ready to take the next step and become a player who regularly competes for Major titles. She’s been dominant on grass this year, going 11-1, including ten in a row and counting. At the very least, hopefully Muchova has a better performance than last year’s first-time finalist, Amanda Anisimova, who was double-bagled by Iga Swiatek.

Linda Noskova also makes her first Wimbledon final. Noskova has been almost as good as Muchova on grass, going 11-1, also. The only thing separating the two on grass is Muchova’s winning streak. Noskova recently took home her own grass title from WTA Berlin. She flopped out of WTA Bad Homburg in the first round, but has responded with an incredible Wimbledon performance, beating Marta Kostyuk, Elise Mertens, Madison Keys, Sorana Cirstea, and Camila Osorio, just to name a few. Now is her chance to write the next bit of Czech history by taking home the Wimbledon crown.

Best Bet to Make

The betting books have Muchova as a solid favorite in this final. The average is about 1.77-2.07 in favor of Muchova. You can find Muchova as high as 1.83 and Noskova at 2.16, but I think the smart decision here is to pick a name and play it straight. Both Noskova and Muchova can be had for perfectly reasonable odds, and you don’t have to mess around with a correct score bet or an over/under wager that may or may not happen. I tend to think this match is going to go all three sets, but I think Muchova is playing so well right now that she’s going to be too much for Noskova. I’ll take Muchova straight up at 1.83 on Pinnacle

That being said, betting on Muchova winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Muchova winning @1.83 @Pinnacle

Main Photo Credit: Mike Frey-USA TODAY Sports

This year’s edition of WTA Wimbledon has been nothing short of incredible.
