The top three seeds are all out of Wimbledon, unable to make the quarterfinals. The only two players ranked in the top seven are Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula. They will meet in one very big quarterfinal match. Another quarterfinal has Naomi Osaka, fresh off her upset of Sabalenka, playing former major finalist Karolina Muchova. Most tennis experts would say at this point that whoever comes out of this part of the bracket, in the top half of the women\u2019s draw, will be favored in the final this coming Saturday and will likely win a first Wimbledon championship. None of the eight quarterfinalists have won the WTA Wimbledon singles crown, so history will be made later this week. LWOS has our best bet for two matches. Noskova \u2013 Mertens: 8:30 EST<\/b><\/h4>\n

The <\/span>WTA<\/span> Wimbledon Championships<\/span><\/a> continue on Wednesday when Linda Noskova meets Elise Mertens in the quarterfinals. Noskova is 26-11 this year, with one title from WTA Berlin, another grass tournament. Noskova is 21-10 on grass in her career, and she\u2019s 9-1 in 2026. Elise Mertens is nine years older than Noskova. Mertens is 24-13 overall this year, and she\u2019s 7-3 on grass so far. Mertens is 49-36 overall on grass, and she\u2019s 15-5 on grass over the last two years. It remains to be seen if Mertens is ready to take that next step and win a Major. She\u2019s only ever won one grass tournament.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Best Bet to Make<\/b><\/p>\n

Even though Mertens has some things going for her, Noskova is the smart pick in the Wimbledon quarterfinals. Not only is Noskova 9-1 in her last ten matches, but she\u2019s proven all year long that her time is coming. To me, it\u2019s not a matter of \u201cif\u201d but \u201cwhen\u201d in talking about Noskova winning a Major in her lifetime. I realize that\u2019s weird to say about someone with two career WTA titles, but you can tell from the way she continues to improve and her vigor against top names that success isn\u2019t an option for her; it\u2019s a given. Whether it\u2019s Sabalenka, Gauff, or Svitolina, Noskova has proven she\u2019s a dog capable of a huge bite.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That being said, <\/span>betting on Noskova winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.<\/b><\/p>\n

When it comes to Wimbledon dark horse candidates, nobody sends off more alarm bells for me than Marta Kostyuk. Kostyuk is set to face Jasmine Paolini in the Wimbledon quarterfinals, and she will have to put her past losses to Paolini aside if she wants to reach the semifinals. Paolini has not had the best year. Her four-game winning streak is the longest she has had all year, and she\u2019s still 6-4 in her last ten matches. Kostyuk is also riding a four-match win streak, but she also had a 16-game winning streak. She\u2019s 20-1 in her last 21 matches. She\u2019s simply playing on another level.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Best Bet to Make<\/b><\/p>\n

Even though Paolini has beaten Kostyuk in two of their three previous matches, she still finds herself a significant underdog heading into this Wimbledon quarterfinal match. The average odds currently sit at 1.38-3.07 in favor of Kostyuk. I think Kostyuk is going to plow right through Paolini tomorrow. You can nab Kostyuk 2:0 at 2.1 on William Hill, and that\u2019s my recommendation. I think Kostyuk is going to take this match straight at Paolini, and she\u2019s going to overwhelm her early and often. I don\u2019t see the Italian putting up much of a fight, as she\u2019s probably exhausted from her duel with Alexandra Eala.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That being said, <\/span>betting on Kostyuk winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.<\/b><\/p>\n
