Aryna Sabalenka trailed McCartney Kessler 5-2 in the second set before rallying to win a tiebreak and advance to the third round. Coco Gauff almost lost to Solana Sierra, but she broke the Argentine’s serve when trying to stay in the match. She then came back from a 7-4 tiebreak deficit to prevail and escape. Both players are looking for momentum for both this tournament and the second half of 2026.

Best Bet to Make

Sofia Kenin has simply been a below-average tennis player for a long time. Fading Kenin has been a consistent and winning play for tennis bettors for a while. When you find a good angle or play as a bettor, and it keeps delivering for you a strong percentage of the time, you keep going back to it. Anisimova in straight sets has a low price, not enough for us to recommend it as our best bet. Just go to the game spread instead, and you’ll get a better return on your investment.

That being said, betting on Anisimova -5.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Anisimova -5.5 games @1.96 @1xbet

Rakhimova – Sakkari: Time 9:30 EST

H2H: 0-2

Kamilla Rakhimova notched a really good win in the first round of this WTA Wimbledon event, beating Anhelina Kalinina in three sets. Kalinina had won a large number of tour matches this season, but Rakhimova was able to stop her in a long, tough match. That should give her a lot of confidence going into this test against Maria Sakkari. The Greek beat Clara Tauson in the first round. Sakkari was priced by the markets as an underdog, as Rakhimova was against Kalinina, but found a way to win. Both players are therefore coming off upset wins according to the markets. It will be interesting to see if they both maintain form in this match, or if one player slips and stumbles.

Best Bet to Make

The Rakhimova win over Kalinina was solid, but Kalinina won a lot of matches on clay this season, so the fact that she didn’t do as well on grass is not surprising. Sakkari beating Tauson is a more impressive win than what Rakhimova achieved. Sakkari was also able to win that match cleanly and quickly. Rakhimova went through more stress and strain to get her victory over Kalinina. We think Sakkari is the better and more in-form player who will also be fresher and more prepared to play her best. Sakkari in straight sets has an especially great price. Go for it.

That being said, betting on Sakkari winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Sakkari winning 2:0 @2.23 @unibet

Cirstea – Birrell: Time 10:30 EST

H2H: 1-0

Sorana Mihaela Cirstea is playing the last full season of her career. She had a great clay season in spring and will try to carry that into grass at this WTA Wimbledon showcase. She looked very good in the first round, a clean and drama-free win which, she hopes, will give her rhythm for this match against Kimberly Birrell, who needed three sets to get through her own first-round match. Grass is not Cirstea’s best surface, but she is an in-form player. Bettors need to consider whether the specific challenge of the surface or Cirstea’s current level of play is the bigger and more important factor in the match.

Best Bet to Make

The form of Cirstea on clay was really good, and she carried that into her first-round WTA Wimbledon match. Cirstea looked smooth and reasonably comfortable on grass. She is a better and more in-form player than Birrell. That’s more than enough for us to recommend Cirstea winning in straight sets. The price is entirely reasonable, actually better than reasonable. It’s great.
