Tomljanovic is 6-4 in her last ten matches, but that also includes a semifinal appearance at WTA Hertogenbosch right before Wimbledon. Bolkvadze is largely an ITF-level player, and this is her first time reaching the first round at Wimbledon. Tomljanovic is a two-time quarterfinalist here. When these two face off for the first time, it’s Tomljanovic who will be the substantial favorite.

Best Bet to Make

Tomljanovic turned out to be quite the favorite in this match. While the average line is about 1.14-5.64 in favor of Tomljanovic, you can find Bolkvadze as high as 6.33 on some books. Add to that the fact that Bolkvadze is 20-17 all-time on grass, and it makes sense why she’s such a large underdog. If we’re getting specific about the type of bet you would want to lay on Tomljanovic, that really depends on your confidence level. I think Tomljanovic -5.5 games at 1.95 is my preferred bet, but your mileage may vary.

That being said, betting on Tomljanovic -5.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/the best odds: Tomljanovic -5.5 games @1.95 @1xbet

Svitolina – Snigur: Time 9:30 EST

H2H: 0-0

Elina Svitolina is one of the early favorites to win Wimbledon. She’s a two-time semifinalist and was in the quarterfinals as recently as 2024. Daria Snigur is definitely not one of the favorites, but she is a quality player capable of beating anyone on the right day. The two Ukrainians will likely share a moment sometime before or after the match, as they represent a country currently at war. Beyond that, Snigur is the future of Ukrainian tennis while Svitolina is closer to the end of her career than the beginning. That said, Svitolina has already won two tournaments this year, so don’t write her off into the sunset just yet. Snigur also won two tournaments this year, but Svitolina’s were WTA-level.

Best Bet to Make

Svitolina is a favorite in this match, but probably not by as much as you might think. The average odds are currently 1.32-3.37 in favor of Svitolina. Snigur is inside the top-80 players in the World, and she has shown herself capable of beating the sport’s top stars. She will just need to play within herself and stick to her game even when Svitolina turns up the heat. I’m not saying that she’s going to win, but I do think that Snigur can turn this into a competitive match. She might even be able to steal a set, though I would not want to bet on that. Give me Svitolina 2:0 at 1.91 on bet365.

That being said, betting on Svitolina winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/the best odds: Svitolina winning 2:0 @1.91 @bet365

Erjavec – Jeanjean: Time 9:30 EST

H2H: 1-1

For the second year in a row, Veronika Erjavec will meet Leolia Jeanjean at Wimbledon. Last year, Erjavec won their first-round qualifying match at Wimbledon. They would meet again later in 2025 in the quarterfinals of WTA Quito. That match would see Jeanjean beat Erjavec in straight sets. Neither competitor is playing great tennis right now. I would go as far as saying they’re both playing very poorly, but at least Jeanjean has a winning streak entering this match. Erjavec is 18-16 overall in 2026, and Jeanjean is 19-17 so far this year.

Best Bet to Make

Neither of these women has played many matches on grass. The books see Jeanjean as the favorite heading into this match, but the lines are pretty close. The average line is 2.47-1.54 in favor of Jeanjean. If you’re going to take a bet on this match, I would just pick someone and bet that person straight up. There’s too much variability with these women entering Wimbledon for me to feel comfortable recommending heavily. I’d probably roll with Vegas on this one; they often know what they’re doing. That would mean taking Jeanjean outright.

That being said, betting on Jeanjean winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/the best odds: Jeajean winning @1.58 @1xbet

Main Photo Credit: Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

WTA Wimbledon first-round play continues on Tuesday.
