We’re going to bring them to you and give you a lot to think about as you consider your next play and your next set of parlays as well. Let’s look at the Tuesday card. Haddad Maia has had a brutal 2026 tennis season. She is 4-18 in 22 matches. Maria Timofeeva is 28-14 in 42 matches. This seems like a match that will only end up one way. However, Timofeeva has won 20 of her 28 matches on clay. Making the transition to grass is often difficult for players who play a lot on clay. Timofeeva has won three matches on grass, which is at least a modest indication that she can play well on grass. Haddad Maia lost her one grass match so far this season.

Best Bet to Make

Beatriz Haddad Maia is a former world top-10 player on the WTA Tour. She used to be really good, and she has fallen far off the pace this season. Logically, there is nothing to point to in terms of making a bet on Haddad Maia here, but we aren’t totally sold on Maria Timofeeva’s grass tennis savvy or skill. Yes, Timofeeva should be the clear betting market favorite, as she is, but we have a funny feeling about this match. We usually make direct data-driven decisions, but Haddad Maia did make the fourth round of Wimbledon a few years ago. She does know how to play on grass. We would advise you to not wager your normal amount of units on this match; make it a smaller amount. However, we are going for the big price of 3.20 with a Haddad Maia upset. It’s the kind of pick we don’t ordinarily make, but we are going for it here.

That being said, betting on Haddad Maia winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Haddad Maia winning @3.20 @unibet

Birrell – Korneeva: Time 6:00 EST

H2H: 0-0

Kimberly Birrell made an impression during the grass tennis season. She is not in contention for the WTA Wimbledon championship or anything like that. However, she is gaining some attention and respect on tour by fighting hard in every match and scoring some solid wins over Peyton Stearns and, even more especially, former WTA Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova in recent weeks. Birrell is in good form and has every reason to be confident going into this tournament. Alina Korneeva did win three Wimbledon qualifying matches to get into the main draw, but she needed three sets to win two of those matches. She is not coming into this match as a dominant player.

Best Bet to Make

Birrell is the more in-form player and has done some really good work on grass in recent weeks. Korneeva has won three matches in a row by getting through the qualifying rounds of this WTA Wimbledon event, but Birrell beating Krejcikova is the kind of quality victory which is better and more impressive than anything Korneeva has done in recent weeks. The match is priced very close to a toss-up, so it’s a pick-the-winner kind of match. We think Birrell is clearly better than Korneeva. It might not be by a large margin, but we do think the match isn’t a total toss-up. One player should rise above the other, and it’s Birrell. The moneyline for her carries a great price. This is one of the better bets on the whole Tuesday card.

That being said, betting on Birrell winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Birrell winning @1.92 @betfair

Shymanovich – Golubic: Time 6:00 EST

H2H: 0-0

Iryna Shymanovich will try to pull a WTA Wimbledon upset when she takes on Viktorija Golubic. Shymanovich has won five grass matches this year. Three of them were in qualifying. That’s a decent set of grass results, but against lower-end competition. Golubic has been even better than Shymanovich in this grass season, scoring six grass match victories and beating two top-60 players, Zeynep Sonmez and Ann Li, in the process. Golubic is a solid grass-court player who is competing well and showing the ability to bounce back from bad stretches in matches. When something goes wrong, she responds well.

Best Bet to Make

The quality of Golubic should shine through here in this WTA Wimbledon opening-round match. Golubic is a solid veteran who knows how to prepare for important matches. She is good on grass. Shymanovich isn’t bad on grass, but Golubic has played and beaten higher-level opponents on grass in recent weeks. The price for Golubic moneyline is low, but the price for Golubic winning in straight sets is very reasonable. Golubic is the better and more proven player, so winning in straight sets is the right play to make in this spot.

That being said, betting on Golubic winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Golubic winning 2:0 @1.80 @1xbet

Main Photo Credit: Clive Brunskill-USA TODAY Sports

WTA Wimbledon first-round play continues on Tuesday.
