Coming off a run to the Berlin final, Pegula is in some danger as Darja Vidmanova is on the rise and could pose a challenge. Pegula should still be able to win this match, but her past Wimbledon upsets and Vidmanova\u2019s increasingly high level cast some early doubt.<\/p>\n

\nNeither Leylah Fernandez nor Janice Tjen had a particularly notable grass season, and this will be Tjen\u2019s first appearance in the main draw of Wimbledon. However, Tjen has defeated Fernandez twice this year, with both wins coming in straight sets, and Fernandez\u2019s Wimbledon record isn\u2019t strong enough for experience to play a factor.<\/p>\n
