Sabalenka has made the Berlin semifinals for the second year in a row, and Pegula won here in 2024. This is probably not the opponent that Pegula wanted to face, as she’s a lifetime 3-9 against Sabalenka. Pegula’s only victories were last year in the semifinals of Wuhan, a 2023 WTA Finals match, and a round-of-16 win in the Cincinnati Masters (New York) in 2020. Pegula has performed much better in recent years, including taking her to a third set in the last three matches. It’s a tall order for the American, but she’s playing well enough to pull it off.

Best Bet to Make

Anybody who watches tennis knows who the favorite is in this match, but that doesn’t mean the betting angles aren’t interesting. Pegula is playing really well this year, all things considered. The question for this match is whether Pegula will put up a fight or if Sabalenka will beat her in straight sets, as she has in all but two of her wins. Even if you go back to 2024, you start to see the beginnings of Pegula growing into this one-sided rivalry. Sabalenka needed three different 7-5 sets to put Pegula away during 2024, and that was of four total sets played. I think that’s the ticket for this match; Sabalenka will win, but she’s going to have to earn it.

That being said, betting on Sabalenka winning 2:1 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Sabalenka winning 2:1 @3.9 @bwin

Noskova – Eala: Time 8:00 EST

H2H: 1–0

Linda Noskova and Alexandra Eala round out the Saturday matches in Berlin. Noskova has been on and off during 2026. She’s had her moments, but she has also performed poorly against opponents she should be beating. Sorana Cirstea has been a particular pain for Noskova, but that’s another article. Alexandra Eala continues to show that she will one day be among the elite in tennis. Her performances as of late have been nothing short of admirable. She remained poised against some of the best women’s tennis has to offer, and she does it time and again. She’s already won one grass tournament, and winning Berlin would have seen her beat a veritable who’s who of the sport.

Best Bet to Make

Eala and Noskova met earlier this year, and the result wasn’t pretty for Eala. If she’s going to continue her run in Berlin, she’ll need to show the type of play she’s been showing for the last several weeks. Eala is 9-1 on grass in 2026, but this is only Noskova’s fourth match on the surface. I know that Noskova is the favorite here, but I think Eala is playing well enough to reach the finals. I don’t know if she’s going to win it all, but I do think she will reach the finals.

That being said, betting on Eala winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Eala winning @2.32 @1XBet

Main Photo Credit: Mike Frey-USA TODAY Sports

The WTA Berlin semifinals will be played on Saturday.
