The fans in London will provide vocal backing to home favorite Emma Raducanu in her battle against the former Wimbledon semifinalist Donna Vekic. Raducanu did not drop a set or even get taken to a tiebreak in triumphs over Anna Blinkova, Sorana Cirstea, Kamilla Rakhimova, and Iva Jovic. Vekic only lost one set in her victories against Mika Stojsavljevic, Marie Bouzkova, Karolina Pliskova, and Katie Boulter. The Croat has taken full advantage of entering the draw as a lucky loser.

In her crushing 6-1 6-3 over Boulter, Vekic showed why her game suits playing fellow powerful hitters. Boulter, who impressed so much against Elena Rybakina, was outclassed from start to finish. That dynamic is why the Olympic Silver Medalist has an incredible 6-2 head-to-head record against Aryna Sabalenka. A match with more power but shorter rallies is what Vekic likes.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBqevEUU33" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 3059px; aspect-ratio: 3059/2043;" ></smartframe-embed>

Raducanu will ensure this match is very different. The 2021 US Open champion is more adaptable than Boulter and can adjust her game to extend the rallies against formidable ball-strikers. She did that superbly against Sorana Cirstea, who was in outstanding form before the Queen’s Club Championships, in the round-of-16.

I expect this to be an exciting final. Vekic’s level from her match against Boulter will give her a chance of beating most players on the WTA Tour. However, I am giving a slight edge to Raducanu. The Briton’s capability against powerful hitters is one of the reasons, but she must have also taken so much confidence from thrashing Iva Jovic 6-2 6-2 in the semifinal.
Prediction: Raducanu in 3

Main Photo Credit: Mike Frey-Imagn Images

It should be a thrilling women’s singles final at the 2026 Queen’s Club Championships.
