We here at LWOT cover all four matches scheduled in this article. Which players do you expect to reach the quarterfinals?

WTA Queen’s Day 3 Predictions

Alexandra Eala vs Iva Jovic

Head-to-head: Jovic 1-0 Eala

Jovic produced an excellent performance when this pair met at the French Open a few weeks ago. Eala, who was the runner-up in Eastbourne last year, likely has a better chance on grass. The Filipina’s return, one of the best in women’s tennis, is more of a weapon on it compared to clay. Expect a close match, but Eala is backed to prevail.
Prediction: Eala in 3

Victoria Mboko vs Karolina Pliskova

Head-to-head: First meeting

This is a dangerous opening match of the grass-court swing for Mboko. Pliskova’s status as a former Wimbledon runner-up means she should never be taken lightly, but grass also suits the Czech more than any other surface at this stage of her career. On balance, Mboko’s greater consistency and match practice dating back months still make her the more likely winner. A victory for Pliskova would not be surprising, though.
Prediction: Mboko in 3

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBelO6SNlO" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 2884px; aspect-ratio: 2884/1923;" ></smartframe-embed>

Donna Vekic vs Marie Bouzkova

Head-to-head: Bouzkova 1-0 Vekic

Bouzkova will likely set out to frustrate Vekic from the outset. Her game is based on getting balls into play and extending the rallies, and that style often works against Vekic. The Croatian’s 2024 run to the Wimbledon semifinal shows her ceiling is higher, but she has not performed at that level since the 2024 Olympics. I like Bouzkova’s chances.
Prediction: Bouzkova in 2

Amanda Anisimova vs Laura Siegemund

Head-to-head: First meeting

There is a fascinating clash of styles in this matchup. Anisimova’s flat groundstrokes, which are the most powerful on the WTA Tour, against Siegemund’s slices, drop shots, and overall craft. The German veteran’s chances should not be ruled out on grass. However, her serve is hugely vulnerable against Anisimova’s return, and I think that is too significant an obstacle to overcome.
Prediction: Anisimova in 2

Main Photo Credit: Robert Deutsch-Imagn Images

Several high-profile WTA stars are in action at the Queen’s Club on Wednesday, including Amanda Anisimova, Victoria Mboko, Alexandra Eala, and former world No. 1 Karolina Pliskova.
