There is no Iga Swiatek, no Elena Rybakina, no Coco Gauff, and no Aryna Sabalenka, but these matchups are compelling. The players who got this far in Paris have earned their way here. They all had to score impressive victories to reach this stage of the year’s biggest clay tournament. These semifinalists have taken control of this tournament and have powered their way into the last four. Now they will decide who gets to play for the WTA French Open title on Saturday. The winner of the Marta Kostyuk vs Mirra Andreeva semifinal will be the betting market favorite in the final. All four players left in the tournament are playing for a first career French Open title. There is so much to look forward to. This is a rematch of the Madrid final, won by Kostyuk. Both players are absolutely rolling right now. Kostyuk is 17-0 on clay this year. She literally cannot lose on this surface. She just defeated fellow Ukrainian Elina Svitolina in the quarterfinals, running away with the third set 6-2 to reach her first French Open semifinal. Kostyuk was not exceptionally strong on hardcourts earlier this season, but on clay, she has taken off. The fact that she beat Andreeva in Madrid will certainly help her enter this match with confidence. Andreeva will be confident as well. She blitzed Sorana Cirstea in the quarterfinals, losing only three games and winning a blowout in just 57 minutes. These are both in-form players, and one will make a first major final. The pressure is on.

Best Bet to Make

Kostyuk moneyline is a bet to consider here, given that she’s 17-0 on clay in 2026. It’s really hard to bet against that kind of streak, especially since Kostyuk just defeated Iga Swiatek and Elina Svitolina to get this far. It’s not as though Kostyuk is facing a soft draw. She is going through the toughest players in the tournament. Andreeva, though, just played a flawless match against Cirstea. She lost to Kostyuk in Madrid and will certainly be very motivated to gain revenge and make adjustments. You could fold Kostyuk moneyline into a parlay, but the single bet to make on this match is over 2.5 sets. Kostyuk played a three-setter against Svitolina. This match against an in-form Andreeva is likely to be up and down as well, with both players having moments of success.

That being said, betting on over 2.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: over 2.5 sets @2.36 @Betsson

Shnaider – Chwalinska: Time 11:30 EST

H2H: 1–0

Diana Shnaider faces Maja Chwalinska. Shnaider was down a set and 4-1 to top seed Aryna Sabalenka in the quarterfinals. Then Sabalenka got nervous and struggled in the windy outdoor conditions. Shnaider kept her cool. She broke Sabalenka when the World No. 1 player served for the match. She rallied to win the second set 7-5 and then ran away with the third set 6-0. It was a shocking result, and now Shnaider has a chance to make a first major final. Both players in this match are pursuing that career achievement. Shnaider’s opponent in the semifinals is Poland’s Maja Chwalinska, who was outside the top 100 entering the French Open but who has played her way into the top 30 by surprising everyone in France. She got here by beating No. 22 seed Anna Kalinskaya in the quarterfinals.

Best Bet to Make

Just so you know, Shnaider is a 1.57 moneyline favorite, while Chwalinska +1.5 sets is priced at 1.60. You could make each of those two bets and see if you can win both. However, since we have to recommend one and only one bet, we’re going with over 2.5 sets. Chwalinska controlled most of her quarterfinal against Anna Kalinskaya. She easily could have won that match a lot more easily than 7-6, 6-3. It could have been 6-2, 6-2. This looks like a very even match in which both players are likely to get nervous. That points to a three-set match.

That being said, betting on over 2.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: over 2.5 sets @2.46 @Betsson

Main Photo Credit: Susan Mullane-USA TODAY Sports

The WTA French Open tennis features the semifinals on Thursday.
