The weather in Paris has been very hot and is expected to stay that way for the next few days. Players will need to manage matches well. By the time the second round ends late Thursday night, the field will be down to 32 for the coming weekend. LWOS has our best bets for three matches on Wednesday. Paolini has had a tough 2026 season. When she lost to Elise Mertens at home in Rome before her Italian fans, she fell out of the WTA top 10. She is not playing anything close to the level of tennis she showed the previous two years when she cracked the top 10 and was playing for major championships. She is trying to start fresh at the French Open, and she got off to a good start with a win over Dayana Yastremska. Solana Sierra won a straight-set victory over Emma Raducanu in the first round of the French Open. She will try to build on that performance here.

Best Bet to Make

The fact that Sierra beat Emma Raducanu doesn’t offer that much of a reason to pick Sierra here against Paolini. It is known that Emma Raducanu is going through a transition, returning to a former coach and trying to reorganize her career. Raducanu is not great on clay and will try to improve her 2026 season on grass in the coming weeks. Paolini is not having a great year, but she did look good against Yastremska in the first round. You could go with Paolini to win in straights at 2.25, but the prices for this match are such that you can get good value on Paolini -2.5 games. She could lose one set but still win in three. If she does win in three, she will likely be able to cover the smaller spread. It’s a safer bet with a higher probability of cashing.

That being said, betting on Paolini -2.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Paolini -2.5 games @1.70 @1xBet

Jones – Bouzkova: Time 8:00 EST

H2H: 0–0

Francesca Jones faces Marie Bouzkova. Jones pulled off a big comeback in the first round of the French Open. She lost the first set to Beatriz Haddad Maia and was down a break in the second set. She rallied to win the second set, then fell behind a break in the third, and won that set as well. It was quite an escape. Marie Bouzkova looked solid in her first-round match, turning back Lucia Bronzetti in straight sets. If Jones loses the first set here, will she be able to fight back in the same way she showed against Haddad Maia?

Best Bet to Make

The fact that Jones came back to win her first-round match might say less about her and more about Beatriz Haddad Maia, who is having an awful 2026 tennis season. Bouzkova looked really good in her first-round French Open match and has been playing better in recent weeks. The current form of both players suggests that Bouzkova will win the first set. If she does win the first set, she will probably be able to win the second set and cash a ticket for a 2:0 bet.

That being said, betting on Bouzkova winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Bouzkova winning 2:0 @1.77 @1xBet

Baptiste – Wang: Time 9:00 EST

H2H: 1–0

Hailey Baptiste faces Xiyu Wang. Baptiste, who saved six match points against Aryna Sabalenka in Madrid and then came back to win, saved two more match points in the first round of the French Open against Barbora Krejcikova and was able to win in three sets. Baptiste continues to show that she is very hard to beat. Xiyu Wang beat Danka Kovinic in the first round of the French Open and has won nine of her last 10 matches. This is a very interesting matchup between two rising players.

Best Bet to Make

Xiyu Wang is playing great tennis. She is stringing together match wins and is obviously in a groove right now. Hailey Baptiste might win the match outright, and you could fold a Baptiste moneyline bet into a parlay. However, for a single bet, you should lean to Wang. She might not win the match, but she should be good enough to win a set. Baptiste knows how to win, but Baptiste has not been a dominant player. She has lost a number of sets in recent weeks before managing to come back and win. Wang winning one set is reasonably priced and has a good chance of happening.

That being said, betting on Wang +1.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Wang +1.5 sets @1.73 @Unibet

Main Photo Credit: Susan Mullane-USA TODAY Sports

The WTA French Open competition moves into the second round on Wednesday.
