Quevedo is World No. 127, Jeanjean No. 124. Quevedo is in good form entering this match. She has won eight matches in a row, three of them in the qualifying rounds in Paris, which enabled her to get this spot in the main draw. Jeanjean has lost her last two matches but is a respectable 4-3 in her last seven matches. This match is priced very close to a toss-up.

Best Bet to Make

Quevedo has won eight matches in a row, and that’s obviously very good, but she has played either challenger matches or qualifying matches. Jeanjean has been testing herself against better competition. She has lost two straight, but Jeanjean lost those matches to Leylah Fernandez and Jasmine Paolini, two players who are seeded at this French Open. Quevedo did make it through qualifying by winning three matches this past week, but each of those three wins in Paris were in three sets. That’s a lot of tennis to play. Quevedo might be a little tired, and Jeanjean should be the fresher player here. Take the Jeanjean moneyline.

That being said, betting on Jeanjean winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Jeanjean winning @1.91 @Bet365

Grabher – Sramkova: Time 5:00 EST

H2H: 0–0

Julia Grabher faces Rebecca Sramkova. Grabher and Sramkova both failed to make it out of Rome qualifying. Grabher was able to get into the main draw in Madrid, while Sramkova was not. The two players are separated by only two spots in the world rankings, 121 and 123. This would seem to be a very even matchup on paper, but the betting markets have Sramkova installed as a very clear favorite.

Best Bet to Make

The line just doesn’t make that much sense. This points to an even match. The players are ranked similarly. Their recent form has been similar. Their recent results have been similar. They are playing at basically the same level against comparable competition. Maybe Grabher won’t win the match outright, but she should be able to at least keep the match close. A bet on this match could be a set spread or game spread wager, but it should lean to the underdog prices attached to Grabher in some way.

That being said, betting on Grabher +1.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Grabher +1.5 sets @1.65 @10Bet

Chwalinska – Zheng: Time 5:00 EST

H2H: 0–0

Maja Chwalinska takes on Qinwen Zheng. Chwalinska shredded her competition in French Open qualifying, winning three consecutive matches all in straight sets. Chwalinska enters this match in very good form. She is ranked outside the top 100 but is playing like a player who will soon be inside the top 100. Qinwen Zheng is a former top-10 player who has fallen on hard times and has dropped out of the top 50. She is currently ranked World No. 53. However, her recent losses have all come to talented players. Zheng is only 3-3 in her last six matches, but the three losses have come to Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, and Jelena Ostapenko.

Best Bet to Make

The fact that Qinwen Zheng’s last three losses have all come to quality opponents, including the top two ranked players on the WTA Tour (Sabalenka and Rybakina), makes it easier to dismiss her overall win-loss record. If she is playing the very best, she is going to lose or at least will be more likely to lose. Chwalinska did look great in French Open qualifying, but Zheng is a higher-caliber opponent ranked over 60 spots above Chwalinska. That difference in quality should become apparent in this match. Zheng should win comfortably.

That being said, betting on Zheng winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Zheng winning 2:0 @1.83 @1xBet

Main Photo Credit: Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The WTA French Open action continues on Monday.
