The draw is a competitive one with a number of the world’s best set to take to the court in Switzerland and, as always, we here at LWOT will be offering our preview and prediction for all five round of 32 matches on day three. But who will advance?

ATP Geneva Day 3 Predictions

Alexei Popyrin vs Clement Tabur

Head-to-head: first meeting

Alexei Popyrin hasn’t had much success this year with a 6-12 win loss record as the Australian finds himself seeking much needed momentum before the French Open. He faces Clement Tabur, who is highly inexperienced on the main tour. Expect Tabur to maybe nab a set as he does enter the draw with some confidence after advancing through the qualifiers after two solid wins. But Popyrin looks stronger from the baseline in this one.

Prediction: Popyrin in 3

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBYOYVU4Td" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 4374px; aspect-ratio: 4374/2916;" ></smartframe-embed>

Raphael Collignon vs Adrian Mannarino

Head-to-head: first meeting

This is an interesting one. Raphael Collignon enters this week on the back of a final appearance at the Challenger event in Bordeaux, France. The Belgian now takes on the seasoned veteran Adrian Mannarino who hasn’t had a notable 2026 but is still a very dangerous player on his day. The courts at Geneva are generally on the faster side of things which means Mannarino’s groundstrokes should be penetrating enough to cause issues for the Belgian.

Prediction: Mannarino in 2

Juan Manuel Cerundolo vs Laslo Djere

Head-to-head: first meeting

Both players enter this tournament having won Challenger events over the weekend. Juan Manuel Cerundolo, much like his brother Francisco Cerundolom loves the clay courts and this week is a great opportunity for the Argentine to rack up important ranking points. Laslo Djere is yet to win a match on the main tour and that looks unlikely to change as Cerundolo is the favourite with his heavy ground strokes doing most of the damage.

Prediction: Cerundolo in 3

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOB9yJF758u" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 8192px; aspect-ratio: 8192/5464;" ></smartframe-embed>

Nishesh Basavareddy vs Jaume Munar

Head-to-head: first meeting

This is a tough match to call. Nishesh Basavareddy is a very gritty player from the baseline but so is his opponent Jaume Munar especially on the clay courts. Basavareddy hasn’t won a lot on the main tour this year while Munar too hasn’t impressed much on clay thus far in 2026 after a career-best season in 2025. Expect a slugfest with both players seeing a lot of serve breaks. But Munar, with his slightly superior defence and great clay-court nous, should have enough in the tank to see this one through and reach the last 16 at ATP Geneva.

Prediction: Munar in 3

Casper Ruud vs Jenson Brooksby

Head-to-head: Ruud 1-1 Brooksby

Casper Ruud is back in form and it does not bode well for the rest of the draw this week. The Norwegian, despite losing in straight sets to Jannik Sinner in the final at the ATP Rome Masters, looked to be back to something approaching his best at the Foro Italico and, at his best, there are few better than Ruud on this surface.

He will be targeting a deep run at the French Open, and will surely be keen not to squander his momentum by losing early this week. His first test at ATP Geneva is Jenson Brooksby, who has had very little to show for his efforts this year with a 4-10 record so far in 2026. Expect Ruud to carry his form and start strong with his forehand doing a lot of damage.

Prediction: Ruud in 2

Main photo credit: Jonathan Hui-Imagn Images

It should be another entertaining day of tennis ATP Geneva Open as players continue their preparations for the French Open, which starts in under a week.
