The smaller event is in Rouen, but the stars come to Germany to test their games before heading to Madrid for the two-week 1,000-point tournament everyone will be watching. We are likely to see high-profile matchups later in the week in Stuttgart, but the first round has an interesting schedule of its own. Let’s look at one portion of the very light Monday card and include one Tuesday match as well:

WTA Stuttgart

Muchova – Sasnovich: Time TBA

H2H: 1-0

Karolina Muchova made the semifinals in Miami before losing to Coco Gauff. Muchova has produced a very good season in 2026, winning Doha and reaching the round of 16 or better in most of the tournaments she has entered. She has been consistent, and occasionally she shows up and shows out. Aliaksandra Sasnovich lost to Karolina Pliskova last week in Linz. She had to go through the qualifying rounds to make the main draw. Even with Muchova not reaching her ceiling, she’s still better than Sasnovich.

Best Bet to Make

Muchova is a much better player than Sasnovich. I mean, I just said that, so I gotta stick to it. She is also having a much better 2026 season and is an in-form player. She has a well-rounded game that can adapt to any surface. Sasnovich is not playing well, having lost to Pliskova in Linz. So, you know, the opposite of Muchova. The gap in talent and quality between the two players is large. Muchova should be able to win this match decisively.

That being said, Muchova 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Muchova winning 2:0 @1.79 @1xBet

Alexandrova – Knutson: 06:30

H2H: 0-0

Ekaterina Alexandrova faces Gabriela Knutson. Alexandrova does not inspire a lot of confidence vis-à-vis winning in straight sets, but even if she does, she won’t provide a good enough return on investment because Knutson is ranked outside the top 200, and isn’t much of a threat to win the match. Alexandrova winning with a not-that-close scoreline is how you wanna bet this, which means a smaller number of overall games.

That being said, Under 19.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Under 19.5 games @1.73 @bet365

Sonmez – Paolini: 01:00

H2H: 0-0

Zeynep Sonmez faces Jasmine Paolini.
