Aryna Sabalenka squares off against Qinwen Zheng and Wimbledon finalist Jasmine Paolini takes on Magda Linette on Tuesday, while Jessica Pegula and Iga Swiatek are set to wrap up the quarterfinals on Wednesday. Jasmine Paolini vs Magda Linette
Head-to-head: Linette 2-1 Paolini
Although Linette’s victory against Coco Gauff in the last round was notable, she only needed to focus on keeping the ball in the court because of how much the world No. 3 struggled. The Pole will probably need to be more proactive to have a chance in this matchup. Paolini’s struggles against Linette in two of their three previous meetings were quite surprising since she usually likes playing opponents who are not massive hitters. If the two-time Grand Slam champion plays near her level from the last two sets against Naomi Osaka, she will have enough to progress comfortably.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Qinwen Zheng
Head-to-head: Sabalenka 5-0 Zheng
Zheng only managed to take one set from Sabalenka in their five previous matches. The Olympic gold medalist likes time on her shots, something that Sabalenka does not give. Her forehand, which is hit with heavy topspin, has been particularly exposed in this matchup. There is nothing in the Miami conditions that makes me think the outcome will be different this time.
