Sitting in ninth place in the Western Conference, the Galaxy will now be under former LA coach and Sounders coach Sigi Schmid. Schmid will take over at the beginning of the Galaxy’s training session Thursday morning. Schmid will sign a contract that will keep him at the helm until 2018.

As stated before, the Galaxy sits in ninth place in the West with a 6-10-4 record and only have 22 points.

Onalfo replaced United States Men’s National Team head coach Bruce Arena back in December. The Galaxy is currently finalizing a deal that will bring Giovani dos Santos’ brother to the team as a marquee Designated Player.

In his return, Schmid and the Galaxy will host — you guessed correctly — Schmetzer and the Sounders.
