COLUMBUS, Ohio<\/strong> – It’s been quite a while since Midfielder\u00a0Dilly Duka\u00a0<\/strong>got some\u00a0MLS\u00a0<\/strong>minutes. In his second stint with the 2008 MLS Cup champions, he has yet to see the field for the Black and Gold. The New Jersey native has also been battling injuries.<\/p>\n

What Happened With Dilly Duka At Crew SC?<\/h2>\n

That’s not stopping him from expressing his feelings about his role at the club.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the week, Duka tweeted out a picture (that has since been deleted) of what appears to be team stats. (Due to the severity of the topic, a picture of the tweet will not be shown in this article).<\/p>\n

Duka has had his time split between three Eastern Conference teams. After being selected eighth overall by the club, Duka was then traded to rivals\u00a0Chicago Fire.\u00a0<\/strong>After a brief spell in Bridgeview, he then headed north of the border to\u00a0Montreal Impact.\u00a0<\/strong>He then went back to Columbus after Montreal did not retain his rights.<\/p>\n

The midfielder did make in appearance with Columbus when he was put in at right back in Crew SC’s\u00a0U.S. Open Cup\u00a0<\/strong>match against\u00a0FC Cincinnati.\u00a0<\/strong>Afterward, he made his league debut by sitting on the bench in Columbus’ 4-1 win over the Impact.<\/p>\n

Berhalter speaks out<\/h2>\n

At the conclusion of practice this past Tuesday, Head Coach and Sporting Director\u00a0Gregg Berhalter\u00a0<\/strong>spoke on the topic saying, “It’s been dealt with. We’ve talked to Dilly about it. What I’d say is there’s a huge trust built inside the locker room and you don’t want to violate that trust. That’s all I’ll say on that matter.”<\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Duka then posted a tweet in regards to Berhalter’s response.<\/p>\n

This incident has been the first sight of drama since\u00a0Kei Kamara\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Federico Higuain\u00a0<\/strong>had their spat over a penalty kick against — You guessed it — the Montreal Impact in which Duka\u00a0played\u00a0<\/em>in that particular match. Berhalter made it known this past week that Duka will not practice and be left out of the squad when the team faces\u00a0Atlanta United FC<\/strong> (Columbus would lose said game 2-0<\/a> behind a\u00a0Hector Villalba\u00a0<\/strong>brace).<\/p>\n

It was unclear whether or not Duka had been suspended by the club. The last time a player was suspended by Columbus was Kei Kamara after verbally attacking Higuain to the media. That incident would see him out at Columbus and begin a new career<\/a> with the\u00a0New England Revolution.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As said before, it’s not clear if Duka is suspended. But, if Deja Vu<\/em> were to hit again, expect some big announcements coming out from the club within the next few days. <\/p>\n
