LA Galaxy II defeated Vancouver Whitecaps 2 on Saturday afternoon, 2-0. Baggio Husidic created a first half own goal. In the second half, Bradford Jamieson IV led the attack, creating a goal for Ethan Zubak. <\/p>\n<h2>Los Dos Win Opener On Sem de Wit Own Goal, 2-0<\/h2>\n<p>Mu\u00f1oz had his team in a flat 4-4-2. With the first team not playing this weekend, Baggio Husidic started in midfield. Jon Kempin made his first start in goal since joining the club. Jaime Villarreal (C) and Bradford Jamieson started in midfield. <\/p>\n<p>Caps II Head Coach Rich Fagan started his team in a 4-2-3-1, with Kyle Greig up top as the lone striker. Center back Sem de Wit work the Captain&#8217;s Armband. <\/p>\n<p>Vancouver had the better of the play overall in the first half. They carried possession and looked for long balls over the top. On several occasions, they got numbers forward. Tyler Turner made several good tackles and Kempin did well coming off his line <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LAGalaxyII\/status\/845748618451533824\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">when needed<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The Galaxy had the best two chances off the half though. The scored in the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LAGalaxyII\/status\/845745853658640384\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">6th minute<\/a>, off a Baggio Husidic long ball. Husidic sent the ball into the box towards a streaking Ethan Zubak. The cross went off De Wit and between the legs of goalkeeper Spencer Richey. <\/p>\n<p>Adonis Amaya had several <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LAGalaxyII\/status\/845754732861779968\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">good runs<\/a> in the first half, but couldn&#8217;t double the advantage. <\/p>\n<p>The half ended 1-0 with Miguel Aguilar subbed out for an injury in the 34th minute. <\/p>\n<p>The Caps came out more aggressive in the second half, playing more on the ground and sending numbers in the box. <em>Los Dos<\/em> stayed resolute in the defense. Kempin was very active, but wasn&#8217;t tested too bad in terms of save difficulty. Hugo Arellano was active in the air and on the ground. <\/p>\n<p>LA doubled their advantage in the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LAGalaxyII\/status\/845766116118974464\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">67th minute<\/a> against the run of play. Bradford Jamieson IV was able get passed his defender and deliver a cross in front of goal straight to striker Ethan Zubak. The 18-year-old converted the easy tap in to make it 2-0.<\/p>\n<p>Vancouver wasn&#8217;t able to muster anything in the final 20 minutes. Kempin made several plays look simple and easy, including a few chances in extra time. <\/p>\n<p>The match ended 2-0. LA Galaxy II are off to a good start in the Mu\u00f1oz era.
