The shorts will be the darker of the blue tones featured on the jersey. The jock tag this year remains similar to recent jerseys for the club, reading “This is LA.”

? Unlike most of the new secondary kits this year, it’s not boring and white. It’s a different take on the Galaxy’s blue secondary kit. It’s something unique within the league that we haven’t seen before.

Outside of Montreal Impact, nobody does blue and vertical stripes in MLS. The only colors similar to this kit belong to Sporting KC.

Remember also that most MLS teams have dark colors as their primary kits, so the Galaxy don’t wear their secondary kits as often. The white kits with the sash are a good contrast to most other primary kits so the Galaxy often wear their primary kits on the road.

This kit (pending the blue kit curse) should be well-received by the fan base and MLS as a whole.

Embed from Getty Images

Editorial (February 17, 2019) – The LA Galaxy have released their new secondary kit for the 2019 MLS regular season.
