We look forward to him helping our team and sharing in our success this season.”

RBNY Notes: Marc Rzatkowski on Loan, RB Squanders Scrimmage Lead, Tyler Adams Returns

Rzatkowski netted five goals and five assists in 27 appearances for Salzburg, including three goals and three assists this season. He comes to RBNY with UEFA Champions League experience. He also won the Austrian League and Cup with Salzburg last season.

“I’m very happy to be here,” said the 27-year-old midfielder. “I am excited to join the club and want to contribute to the team’s success. I also want to continue to improve myself in every way, as a player on the field and also as a person.”

This is the latest in a handful of player transactions from other Red Bull properties to RBNY.

Red Bulls Drop Preseason Scrimmage to New England

The Red Bulls squandered an early two-goal lead, dropping a decision to the New England Revolution 4-3.

“We didn’t defend at certain moments very well…It’s a stark reminder that we are going to need defenders we can count on. We’re going to need performances in the back that we know we can count on,” manager Jesse Marsch stated after the match.

Alex Muyl opened the scoring, and striker Bradley Wright-Phillips followed up with a goal less than three minutes later. New England responded with four straight goals. Carlos Rivas added a goal in the 76th minute in an attempt to rally his club late, but the Red Bulls fell short.

Tyler Adams Returns from January Camp

For only 18 years old, midfielder Tyler Adams has a ton of professional soccer experience under his belt. In the USMNT friendly against Bosnia, Adams got the opportunity to play the full 90 minutes. “Any chance you get to play with the national team you can’t take it for granted. At the end of camp, it was a good impression for a lot of guys.”

Coming into Red Bulls Training Camp after playing with the national team has proven to be a dizzying experience. However, the number of new faces in camp has Adams feeling optimistic and energized about the Red Bulls chances this season. It also has him wanting to take a bigger role on his shoulders.

“There’s a lot of young guys here – a lot of energy – and I feel like we’re going to make a push this year. I’m excited to be a leader this year. I feel that my experience from the past two years – the USL year winning the championship – I think I can have an impact on a lot of the younger guys now.”

Embed from Getty Images

The New York Red Bulls have used their ‘synergy’ and added midfielder Marc Rzatkowski on loan from Red Bull Salzburg through the end of the 2018 season. “We are pleased to welcome Marc to New York,” said Sporting Director Denis Hamlett. “Marc adds quality and experience to our group and has proven that he can […]

[2,27,6,3,1054
1441,46,57,106,33,1654,803
post-12309","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-featured","category-fifa-tournament","category-redbulls","category-news","category-usmnt","tag-featured","tag-jesse-marsch","tag-mls","tag-new-england-revolution","tag-new-york-red-bulls","tag-rb-salzburg","tag-tyler-adams
["GET
