PODCAST – Hey everybody! This is the first ever episode of Soccer on the Rise, a new podcast where Thomas and Juan Pablo will talk all things Canadian Soccer. In our inaugural show, we discussed John Herdman’s selection for the CONCACAF Nations League matches against the USA, including words from Amer Didic, defender from FC Edmonton who became the second player to represent the Canadian Premier League at a National Team level.

We also covered Fikayo Tomori’s decision to join England’s National Team, despite being born in Canada. After that, we talked about Forge FC winger Tristan Borges, considered the best player on the league by some people.

We finished our show by talking about Canada’s U17 Men’s National Team preparation for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil, and Forge FC’s views towards the CPL Finals, in words from their head coach Bobby Smyrniotis.

He is currently residing in Edmonton, Alberta, with his wife and his two lovely dogs.
