Preview: LA Galaxy at Minnesota United FC

Minnesota United FC had another disappointing performance again last week. This time it was at home and against a weak opponent in the Colorado Rapids. The Loons did not show much life until stoppage time when an altercation occurred when the Rapids celebrated in front of the Minnesota bench. The game this weekend will be high energy with over 50,000 expected to be in attendance. It will be interesting to see how the Loons react to the crowd almost double their season average.

Preview: Minnesota United FC Vs. LA Galaxy

When: Sunday, October 21th, 4:00 pm CT

Where: TCF Bank Stadium, Minneapolis

Watch: Streamed on ESPN and FOX Sports North

The lone bright spot for the Loons was Eric Miller at the right back spot. His performance should earn him another start this week. For the rest of the squad, youth and potential for next year should be the focus. Wyatt Omsberg should start in place of Michael Boxall who has had an up and down season. The Francisco Calvo experiment should continue at left back if he is okay to return after international duty.

The Fernando Bob and Maximiniano midfield will most likely continue. However Rasmus Schuller deserves time in the midfield due to he ball winning abilities. Adrian Heath should explore pairing him with either Maxi or Bob in midfield.

The regulars Miguel Ibarra, Angelo Rodriguez and Darwin Quintero will start up top. The fourth attacking player will be determined by who is available for injury. If healthy Romario Ibarra should get the start.
