Karim Benzema redemption: Real Madrid looks even better without Ronaldo

In the first place, the 30-year-old is still in his prime; however, Real Madrid characterized for being a club that sack stars players and Benzema has been apportioning to that list for a long time.

That’s why this season is more of a redemption for the French forward than anything, and judging on what he’s doing, it seems Benzema will be in Madrid for a quite longer.

Good beginning:

The Frenchman is playing like he was never out of his prime or form, to begin with, he has scored five goals this season, including four in La Liga, where he shares the leadership with Gareth Bale.

In fact, Bale and Benzema have seven goals combined so far this season and they have quickly become Real Madrid’s new duo attack.

Of course, Cristiano Ronaldo departure to Italy has much with it as the Portuguese controlled most offensives during his nine years with the Spanish club.

Benzema just felt awkward playing together with Ronaldo. Indeed, in one part of the last season, the French decided to take another role, making key passes and assisting on goals.

”Coco” has scored 197 goals since his arriving at Real Madrid in the 2009/10 season and since then he received only a few criticisms.

But the French striker is ready to reconquer La Liga and the UEFA Champions League with Madrid, even though Europe’s top club competition will be especially difficult this season.

Benzema wasn’t even missed in France’s World Cup victory, though, he never complained about not being called for his national team. He just wished lucky to his fellow Frenchman.

La Liga’s best striker

It is true Benzema is one of the best strikers in the world but in Spain, there are genuine forwards too. Barcelona’s Luis Suarez and Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezzman are two of the greats in the league.

Not to mention Lionel Messi, who is the candidate to earn the Pichichi as La Liga Golden Boot. Anyhow, ”Benzegoal” can score 20-25 goals this season and shut doubters mouths as Real Madrid looks to be stable even without Cristiano Ronaldo.
