Editorial (May 29, 2018) – The European soccer season is over now, and the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho showed he has the talent to lead a world-class team.

At 25-years-old, he is now one of the best midfielders on the planet and surely he will be a Ballon D’or candidate very soon.

Philippe Coutinho Time To Shock The World Arrive

His game proves it. Since his arrival at FC Barcelona this year, Coutinho has scored ten times and assisted five times in 16 games since his return to Spain, and he seems to be the perfect fit for the Catalonia team after the retirement of Andres Iniesta at the end of the season.

“The Little Magician,” the nickname he earned when he played at Liverpool, lived up to the hype and all Barcelona fan base is excited to have the Brazilian by their side.

Coutinho is a specialist of the long shots, and with Barça he has three goals from outside the box. In fact, he left the English Premier League with 16 goals from outside the penalty area, the most by any player while the Brazilian played in England from 2013-2018.

Coutinho’s ability with the ball looks effortless. His skills and dribbling have put him at the top of the great players, as well as the direct free-kicks and key passing.

The Brazilian has eight free-kick goals in his career, six of them with Liverpool, but he will have to wait with Barcelona due to the Argentinian Lionel Messi being the main one who shoots from direct free-kicks.

Primarily developed as a left wing, Coutinho has finally found his spot with Barcelona. He tried to adapt himself in the right wing in Ernesto Valverde’s scheme, but he simply doesn’t feel comfortable in that position, so the Barça coach decided to put him in the left wing, where he is at his best.

Brazil Key Player

With the Brazilian National Team, Coutinho has to be the difference maker alongside Neymar and Firmino.

The “Little Magician” has 35 appearances with the Brazilian squad, and four of his goals came in CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying.

Coutinho is for sure a key player not only for his native Brazil but in the World Cup. His presence in the pitch will make the tourney more fascinating, and the soccer fans hope he commits a great performance in Russia.
