Toronto FC Jozy Altidore Sacha Kljestan

The New York Red Bulls season has come to and end. They battled in a very physical match, accompanied by some heavy rain to win the second leg by 1-0 margin. However, in the end the Red Bulls fell one goal short against Toronto FC as they advance to the Eastern Conference Final on away goals.

New York Red Bulls Fall vs. Toronto FC

The Disciplinary Committee is going to have a long night reviewing this one. Shortly before halftime both Jozy Altidore and Sacha Kljestan got into a scuffle resulting in both players receiving yellows. Right before the start of the second half it was announced that both players had received Red Cards for an altercation in the tunnel. The altercation is rumored to have involved the mangers of both teams as well. Jozy Altidore will miss the first leg of the Eastern Conference Final due to the Red Card recieved. Sebastian Giovinco will also miss the first leg due to yellow card accumulation over the series. Toronto could very well face one more suspension should disciplinary action be taken for Victor Vaszquez contact with the referee in protest late in the second half. Sacha Kljestan will be missing the first game for the Red Bulls next season with his red card.

Toronto will be facing the victor of the New York City FC/Columbus Crew SC Series. While advancing Toronto did not look overly convincing. The way Toronto reacted in terms of discipline in this game was rather poor. Losing two key starters and possibly a third, will make life very tough for them in the next round. Both of their potential opponents look very dangerous. For the Red Bulls, some big off season changes will certainly need to be in the cards after falling short in the Playoffs once again.
