US Soccer Announces Potential Cities For 2026 World Cup Bid

2026 World Cup

Chicago, August 15th 2017- The United Bid Committee has released its list of potential sites for inclusion in the 2026 World Cup Bid.

US Soccer Announces Potential Cities Venues For 2026 World Cup Bid

Earlier this year, it became clear that Mexico, Canada, and the United States would be submitting a bid to FIFA in order to host the 2026 World Cup. With that being one of the only bids, it seemed as if they might just get awarded it without a vote or any other countries battling them out for the bid. But Morrocco’s inclusion into the conversation will give it some competition. But with such a strong bid, where either all the infrastructure is in place, or already on its way to be in place, the US will just have to whittle down this list.

It has stated they want between 20-25 stadiums in total. Some of the stadiums and cities that aren’t selected do have the potential to be used in other ways for the World Cup, such as an international broadcast center, and many other things.
