Last Word SC Radio: US Soccer $100 Million Plans And Weekend Recap

First the guys recap the MLS Game of the Year candidates from this past weekend. We talk Portland Timbers and FC Dallas playing to a 2-2 draw. Then we talk the epic comeback by the Seattle Sounders to draw the New England Revolution.

In the Round Table, we throw out a few ideas for what US Soccer could do with the apparent $100 million surplus they’ve got. We finish off with a full weekend Pick ‘Em.

Matt Pollard is a Site Admin and Featured Columnist at Last Word on Soccer and Environmental Engineer. When he’s not saving pipelines and cleaning up messes, he’s getting his butt kicked by Insanity, falling down the Rocky Mountains, or watching sports. His first sports love was the LA Kings, though MLS didn’t exist at the time. Once called the Shakespeare of LWOS, he covers the LA Galaxy, Colorado Rapids, and Saint Louis FC. Like the Galaxy, he too was handcrafted in LA.

Joe Hojnacki is the Managing Editor of Last Word on Soccer. A lifelong resident of the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, he supports Detroit City FC locally, Portland Timbers nationally, and Arsenal globally. He’s also a homebrewer, amateur astronomer, pathetic Detroit Lions fan and baseball nerd. In addition to Last Word SC, he hosts the Crowding the Plate Podcast over at Last Word’s MLB arm, Last Word on Baseball.
