This week on Raising Bulls, the guys break down two straight losses for New York Red Bulls II. First up, the team lost at home to Harrisburg City Islanders. Harrisburg had not beaten the Red Bulls in almost two years. The Islanders did their homework though, and they caught NY on a counter attack after sitting back the majority of the game. The goal scorer was none other than former Red Bull player Manolo Sanchez.

The second loss came against St. Louis FC. The Red Bulls fell behind early, but stormed back in the second half. In the opening 15 minutes, Brandon Allen put the team on his back. Allen scored a goal and had a beautiful cross on the go ahead assist. The excitement would be short lived, however, as former Red Bull Jose Angulo ruined the NY road victory with a goal and an assist.

Next up, we got to talk to Steve Bernasconi, the man on the soccer tour. Steve is taking eight months out of his regular life to travel all around the country visiting every soccer team he can. Steve will be able to attend matches at every MLS stadium, but he will also hit USL, NASL and any league you can think of. It was great to pick his brain about his travels.

Finally, we finish up with a preview of this Friday’s match against Orlando City B. City had a rough start to the season, but they seem to be turning it around. They are a deadly matchup for the Red Bulls, playing to NY’s weaknesses handily. Will NY suffer a third straight defeat? Listen to hear what we think.
