(September 22, 2016) – Greetings Plebs of American Soccer! This week on Last Word SC Radio, we speak with Michael Anderer of Blue City Radio and talk about a bunch of NASL teams basically peacing out.

Last Word SC: Michael Anderer (Blue City Radio), LD Scores, and the NASL Crisis

In segment one, Matt Pollard is joined by Mike from Blue City Radio to talk about all things New York City FC. They review the weekend match against FC Dallas and Mike provides some good news on Frank Lampard‘s injury. He waxes poetic about Tommy MacNamara and takes a look at NYCFC’s remaining schedule. The boys discuss David Villa‘s MVP hopes and what the defense needs to do to put City in a good position for the playoffs.

In the Round Table, Joe Hojnacki is back from bowling. The two discuss Christian Pulisic joining the MLS Allocation List and how it probably doesn’t matter. We’d still like to see some more details from MLS on this. Matt even brings back and explains the #SpaceElephants inside joke.

Then the guys react to Landon Donovan scoring his first goal since returning to MLS. Matt basically goes insane then the two come back to reality and discuss what his role with the LA Galaxy will be going forward.

The two then talk about the NASL bad news from this week. They break down how the NASL got themselves into this mess and why the situation is just as bad as the optics show. Joe provides a few ideas for how they can pick themselves up. Still, we’ll need to wait and see how they rebuild and change their business model. Plus, U.S. Soccer will probably have something to say about this. #DivisionTwoStatus?

Lastly, the lads do some weekend predictions. Spoiler Alert: We’re not excited about Columbus Crew SC hosting New England Revolution.

Share this episode with your friend who supports a USL team as he dances on the NASL’s grave stone. Womp womp.
