Silva – “You couldn’t explain to the outside world what it meant to him.”

Remembering his former clubman Matt Silva said, “Condolences to his family and friends and to the people of Bridgend. He was instrumental in our fight against relegation last year.

“He brought Rob Howley in to speak to the players, he was at every training session towards the end of the season.

“You couldn’t explain to the outside world what it meant to him.

“It was a privilege and an honour for me at the end of the last game at Pontypridd to have him in our team circle, you could see it meant the world to him.

“Devastated he’s passed on and he’s going to be greatly missed.”
