The 2018/19 season for all rugby competitions has officially come to an end. As popular as ever, with many teams and regions having solid rugby attendances over the course of domestic and European Championship fixtures.

All the average Guinness Pro14,  Gallagher Premiership and French Top14 attendances from the 2018/19 season are listed here, in alphabetical order.

These numbers may be representative of the facilities, regional and traditional support bases. Crowds can often surge for competitive local derby games, whilst other games see fewer rugby attendances.

What is critical, is that the sport of rugby union has a wide reach, and is still seen as one of the primary ‘codes’ for sports fans to support and cheer for.

  1. Despite our worst season in the professional era, Leicester Tigers still have the highest average attendance.
    Hopefully the board will look at this and realise we can’t afford another season like the last one.
