Welcome to ‘In the Bin’ rugby pod. After over 39 weeks of competition and intrigue, it has come down to this.
The Premiership and Pro14 seasons are now officially ‘in the bin’ with both finals taking place last weekend. Paddy and Andy analyse both those big games, as well as that epic Barbarians win against England, in the last podcast this season!
Finals Time!
At Twickenham, Sarries delivered a ruthlessly efficient performance, reminiscent of their European conquering seasons.
Billy bruised and Mako marmalised! But it was the collective defence that stole the show. Even ‘Barrister Barnes’ would have struggled to prosecute them!
From the #RugbyTonight sofa last Wednesday to the Twickenham pitch: respect between two superb professionals in the @premrugby game. Well done @SchalkBrits and Waynes Barnes. pic.twitter.com/p5Fp64Dhkb

While to the victor goes the spoils, hats off to Exeter. They were not simply a ‘one season wonder’. The Prem Rugby power is certainly on the move, although Saries keep it within reach of the Capital at least.
Over in Dublin, Leinster played their 273rd home game of the season as they completed a sensational double. Don’t let the scoreline fool you, this was not a close game. Scarlets will not want to hear the phrase ‘Here’s Johnny’ ever again – as it was Sexton who was shining, as he directed a horror show for the boys in red.
In a much less intense affair on Sunday, the Baabaas embarrassed England, with fans favourite Ash making a triple-pike splash, as well as proving a point.
Editors note: ‘In the Bin’ rugby pod hope that decision makers look at the rules on eligibility – we can have a Hurricane, but we can’t have a good finisher.
