'In The Bin' Rugby Pod - Season 1, Episode 38

It’s semi-final time in both the Aviva Premiership and the Guinness Pro14, with some high octane games scheduled! To prepare you, join ‘In the Bin’ rugby pod for a look at all the coverage.

Paddy and Andy discuss the recent results, and the upcoming finals this weekend.

Big Story Roundup

In the news this week, there is a ‘changing of the Gustard’ in the England camp. As Quins persuade Paul to take over at the Stoop.

Aviva Premiership and Guinness Pro14 redux

Starting at Allianz Park, Owen Farrell (see main picture) had Wasps in peril from the start. Sarries forward power saw them ‘Owen’ing Wasps, for whom a double from Le Roux, wasn’t enough to see them through.

Exeter showed their class in a dominant display, which couldn’t have been more typical Exeter! They clipped the Falcons play-off wings…. without breaking a sweat. Even Thomas ‘the tank’ Waldrom steamed through to set up the final try, on his Sandy Park farewell.

On Friday at Scotstoun, the Scots were done in play offs, with a ruthless Patchell inspired Scarlets side romping home.

Finally in Dublin, Lowe’s magic made sure it was Leinster who finished the game on a high, seeing them progress to a ‘home’ final.

And with that, fans now know who will be competing this weekend, in the major rugby finals before the anticipated June Internationals.
