It was the big European finals weekend in Bilbao and it did not disappoint! As ever, the ‘In the Bin’ rugby pod savoured a beer, as we watched the best take on the Best.

2017/18 Champions Cup
Leinster secured their 4th European crown with a battling display against their French opponents. After yet another injury to a fly half, there were fears that Racing would be ‘Lambie’s to the slaughter! However, Racing fought right to the end, before yet more Parisian drop goal misery.
Challenge Cup – Battle of Britain
On Friday, we were treated to a thrilling game in the Challenge Cup final between Cardiff and Gloucester. In a magnificently entertaining game, Gloucester started the much better of the sides before Cardiff stunned them with a record second half comeback. They will certainly be raising some glasses to Garces though after Jerome helped them home.
Big Story Roundup
In the news, there are some big transfer moves to discuss. Cips off to Gloucester, and Haskell to Saints; are the two big ones.

Domestic Semi-finals
Looking ahead to the weekend, it’s semi-finals time with some mammoth clashes. Undefeated European champions, Pro14 table toppers and overwhelming favourites Leinster take their enormous squad and huge budget to the field against Munster.
Glasgow entertain Scarlets in another game that promises some sexy rugby…..oops, sorry. We forgot. This show has a PG rating – a pleasurable gorge of rugby!

In the Premiership, the Chiefs host this season’s surprise package Newcastle (well surprise to everyone apart from the two experts on this pod) and Sarries take on Wasps.
