Big Story Roundup

In the news this week, Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding were officially dropped from the Ulster rugby WhatsApp group chat as the fall out from their trial continues.

Also, Bristol secured promotion back to the Premiership with their latest win. Clearly, they’ve already started ensuring they have the bare necessities for their top flight return!

Aviva Premiership

In the Premiership, we were treated to an absurd and wonderful game on Friday in Newcastle. The Falcons eventually took the heat out of Curry and Sale, to soar back into the top 4.

Northampton continue to dumbfound us all as they pulled off an upset away win against Leicester in the East Midlands derby (see above) and Saracens ‘showered Bath’ with tries.

Guinness Pro14

Over in the Pro14, Munster became only the second side this season to win away at the Cheetahs, sealing the win with Murray’s mint kick.

Leinster suffered a huge upset with a home loss to Benneton and at Murrayfield, Edinburgh took all the colour out of Scarlets with a 40 point mauling.
