They join World Rugby head Bill Beaumont (Chairman), Agustn Pichot (Vice-Chairman), Gareth Davies (Wales), Mike Hawker (Independent) and Brett Gosper (Chief Executive) on the RWC board that presides over all Rugby World Cup matters. Leading up to the 2019 event, much of the planning has already been implemented.

Brown and Tew arrive at a time when France have already been announced as the 2023 RWC host. Both men can now view the Japan event, and then look ahead to France 2023.

The 2019 edition in Japan is driving record participation growth within the world’s most populous region. Whereas 2023 in France promises to deliver record financial outcomes, that will allow further reach of the sport in new and emerging rugby markets over the next decade.
