'In The Bin' Rugby Podcast - Season 1, Episode 17

In our final ‘In the Bin’ rugby pod edition before Christmas, we have an early present for you (insert Christmas Carols here) with a fantastic roundup of all the Champions Cup matches!

Big Story Roundup

In the news this week, the Dragons continue to ensure their cupboards aren’t bare with the signing of Richard Hubbard.

We also try to figure out how to put the handbrake on the issue of rolling away at the breakdown.

2017/18 Champions Cup review

It was the return leg of each pool’s double-header round in Europe this past weekend, and it served up some barnstorming contests.

In Dublin, we saw the ‘biggest avoidance of red since the fall of communism in Russia’ as Healy got away with 10 mins in the bin! Leinster showed the grit of potential champions to snuff out an enormously improved Exeter Chiefs side.

In true Matt O’Connor style (yes, I’m going to blow everything wildly out of proportion in my next statement)… In the celebration party for Manu Tuilagi’s 57th return from a career ending injury…… sorry no, I mean the actual rugby game at Welford Road!

Munster completed the double over Leicester in a physical game, where if Dan Cole got speeding points for every penalty, he wouldn’t be able to drive for another century. Fans predicted his yellow before the ref ran out of patience.

Back to normality and Sarries put in their best performance in weeks. However, it still wasn’t enough to stick their head above the Morgan Parrapet in Clermont.

Meanwhile at the Rec, Anthony Watson (see main picture) was more like Sherlock as he solved the mystery of his recent form in Bath’s win over French giants Toulon.

‘In the Bin’ Rugby Pod regular features

Padd and Andy give their try of the week shout-out, hit of the week and the popular bin juice. While the team have some truly shocking news from last week’s predictions! (You definitely want to listen this week folks)
