‘In the Bin’ Rugby Pod – Season 1, Episode 14

Australia v Scotland

As the Autumn Internationals come to a close, ‘In the Bin’ rugby pod gets going to wrap up the best of the action; both internationally and domestically.

Autumn Internationals in Focus

Dreamland at Murrayfield, where Scotland proved they weren’t ‘Hogg’ tied against Australia. The Scots ran in 8 tries, for a record victory as the contest went ‘Kepu-t’ after Australia’s red card.

Rieko Ioane was the one for New Zealand as they cruised to a 30th straight win over Wales, in a game where the only ‘Rarebit’ was the fact Wales were still in it after 60 minutes.

Ireland’s ‘Stock’dale continues to rise, as Ireland pummelled the Pumas. Even if their dominance wasn’t reflected on the scoreboard, it was in the World Rugby rankings.

In the rest of the international friendly games, England gave Samoa no grace, but several tries. Across the channel, the Cherries blossomed as France hit rock bottom….a draw will do that for you. And South Africa took revenge on the Italians, although nothing can change that result from 2016 sorry Big Al!

Big Story Roundup

In the news discussed this week, Andy and Paddy wish they were some of the VIP’s, as the rugby world descended on Monaco for their annual awards. Glitz and glamour, and it was Barrett who was ‘golden boy’ yet again, But the best dressed and most deserved was Kiwi girl Porcia Woodman who ‘sped away’ with the ladies award.

In transfer news, it now seems elementary that Morarity is moving back to Wales. It also seems the most overrated winger in rugby [George North] will be joining him.

Premiership and Pro 14 Recap

In the Aviva Premiership 2017/18, Worcester are suddenly amazing and Gloucester continued their excellent run of form. There was no luck for Irish (hee hee, great pun) and Exeter ‘end up being Chiefs’ in the top of the table clash with Saries.

The Guinness Pro 14 went with form as Glasgow, Munster and Leinster ran in more tries than you can shake a disappointed Welshman at.

(oh well, at least they can plan to attend to 2018 Grand Final – Dublin in May)

‘In the Bin’ Rugby Pod regular features

Listen close for an unlikely source for try of the week. An unorthodox, but outstanding hit of the week and alarmingly…. not a lot of bin juice! (unless you count Andy’s prediction for Ospreys to beat Glasgow at the weekend!)

Paddy triumphed in last week’s predictions – including a clean sweep in the Pro 14!  Listen up, as we get the crystal ball out for the up coming games this weekend and hope for the best!
